During my time living alone, I realised that there were a lot of common sense thing I didn't know when living with my parents. For example, I would have to do my laundry and groceries every weekend or I'd be eating out and wearing dirty clothes b/c I wouldnt have get time to do them for myself. Or for food I learnt the usefulness of ziplock containers. I was wondering if people had any other tips they had to make things more efficient.

Sort your laundry during the week and when you have a full load do it then instead of waiting until the weekend. "Everyone" does laundry on the weekend. You'll get done quicker and can enjoy your weekend. Make a running grocery list as you run out of things during the week add it to the list. Go grocery shopping early to avoid lines. Keep staples like dry pasta, rice, canned beans and tomatoes, and canned stock or broth stocked in the pantry. You can whip up quick meals and go to the store less.

I would learn Feng Shui, things are more calmer, relaxed and
almost perfect ever since I try Feng Shui, not to mention I have three school children.
I would do one thing at time, and do not stop until you're done.

A daily list of things you need to do is a start.

I use envelopes for my expected expenses, and put in each one just enough to pay my regular bills. It gives me extra money for other things, and fewer worries.

organize, plan everything out, give yourself enough time to take care of things that you may have forgotten, keep everything as clean as possible, and maybe even make yourself a check list of things you need to do or buy
