If you need to ask this question then you really should get someone in to fix it for you..

however it sounds like a fuse has gone.. check out your fuse box.. if it is a modern one it will just be a case of pushing a button to get it going again.. if it is the older type that needs fuse wire then by you asking this question I would suggest you find an electrician

Your lighting circuit is separate from your power circuits.Check the consumer unit (the box with the fuses in it),It may be that the breaker (fuse) has just tripped out,(turned of)Look at them and see if one is different from the rest,if it is a type you can reset, then try, but if it Tripp's straight out, call an electrician. If your fuses are really old then theres a good chance that the fuses may be re-wireable fuses,in that case, pull out the fuses and see if the fuse wire has melted, you would need to put new 5amp fuse wire in,but beware, this could go bang as you put it back in,if there is a fault.

You have probably blown a fuse. (or tripped a circuit breaker if you have circuit breakers). Go to the main electrical panel and look to see if any circuits are tripped or fuses blown. To reset the circuit breaker turn if all the way off then turn it back on. If it stays your lights will be fine. If it won't let you keep it in the on position there is a problem in the circuit and you need to call the landlord or an electrician. If it is a fuse look in the center to see if it is blown. If you can't tell for sure just replace them 1 at a time.

most of the answers are right. I would check the breaker/fuse box. If that doesn't fix it check one of the bulbs to see if it is good. A power surge could have blown them out.

Easy.A fuse has blown or a miniature circuit breaker has tripped out.Check your fuse box.If you have circuit breakers trip and reset them(turn them on and off).If you are not sure which covers the lighting trip and set them all.If you have fuses check them individually to see if the central wire between the two poles is broken. If it is..replace it.

Probably a fuse, but could possibly be the ring main that goes from your fuse box around the lighting circuit of the house. So could be a problem with a ceiling rose connection.

You have tripped/blown the fuse for the lighting circuit. Ask a friend to show you how to reset the trip or change the fuse. Don't tamper with it yourself, you will probably hurt yourself. Hope this helps.

Check the trip switch to the lighting circuit. It has probably just blown. Throw the switch and if it doesn't blow again you are OK if not you will need an electrician.
