I am terrified of going into hospital to give birth, due to the MRSA bug and its latest strains. I have been hearing on the news how a newborn baby and a nurse who was giving birth have become the latest victims of it? Does anyone else have concerns about it and have u changed the way you want to give birth because of it??

I have no desire to give birth in a hospital. They are full of bugs and sick people and that's the worst place for me and my baby as far as I am concerned. As a result, I plan on having a home birth if I possibly can.

MRSA is an antibiotic resistant "bug" one usually gets it after being on antibiotics for a long period and if their immune system is shot. I wouldn't worry too much about it, it is curable. If you want to know more about it go to webmd.com

MRSA stands for Methicillon Resistant Staphlyococcus Aureus. They have another drug called Vancomycin that will fight it.
