*Baseball: there is much less physical contact than it is in football (soccer), they wear very tights trousers (very gay), most players are overweight and take steroids (that is an INSULT to the world of sport)

*American Football, overweight fattos, tights trousers (gay) they seem to be afraid to get hurt as they overprotect themselves (kind of gay - look at rugby, much tougher and a lot less protection); and again take steroids (INSULT FOR SPORTS EN GENERAL), only run for a some minutes then rest (wussys), and they call it tough?!! Run and rest run and rest run and rest

*NASCAR a sport!!??, and popular in the USA?, that is just ridiculous (hold on, it is very extremely dangerous, but for drivers, not for the people at home) if you watch a car go around and around then you are a puss; and in my opinion it is not a sport (not fully – as the drivers do train physically), what next, u gonna say that golf is a sport?

*Basketball, it is the most popular American sport in the world (I think – I mean a do see people play it in Europe) but, just for freaking tall people. So all you normal-height people can only dream of becoming professional players, coz you are not freaks (only freaks aloud)

*Football(soccer), physical game, wear shorts (nothing gay bout that), run for the full 90 minutes – unlike American football, NOT DRUGS ALOUD, normal people can play it as long that they are fit enough//

*I am not asking which sport is the most entertaining (to most in the world, is soccer), try to answer my question above, and make sense
look at this video to have an understanding the passion of soccer between USA and Mexico
http://youtube.com/watch?v=penbzz4agp4... ;ok it is not a good example as it is a bit too un-sportsmanship, but explains that is tough

The reason I decided to write all of this comments trashing American sports, is because of all the American comments I’ve been reading in YA and YQ trashing Football(soccer), I decided to go as low as most American did.
In all; we all should respect SPORT itself, not so much the TEAMS (my opinion). just because I LOVE Football(soccer) so much, does not mean that I am gonna justify all the bad things that my favourite Team does (Chelsea), coz it only insult the sport of Football(soccer); having said that; neither should you Americans justify all the bad things that your favourite team does of whatever sport; so lets not trash any SPORT that we don't really know about, that just make us F*cking ignorants.
Of course some people are just f*cking ignorant for the sake of it (nothing no 1 can do about them); people like “The Man, RHG1605” yvgeni1 at least makes a point

About the most entertaining sport of all, I truly think that wheater you like it or not, U(the ones that trash soccer) should accept that Football(soccer) it the most popular sport (said so by most of the world and so, the most entertaining); your sports are only play in your country and a couple of others; so U could never understand the passion it brings when 2 countries from 2 different continents play against each other, in Ur world cup is only Ur country playing (so not experiencing as much passion as everyone in the world feel for football- the closes U have is Basket)
In my opinion no athletes should use drugs to help them with their game, it seems 2 me that in some American sport it is accepted, it might be used in soccer but IT IS NOT ACCEPTED, it is penalised.

any pr!cks that still think that football(soccer) is for pantsies, then read my comments and see why Ur sport would be seen for gays and for DRUG-USERS to help them with their game (shame that acceps to take drugs)

Most Americans think that their opinions are worth more than everyone elses, and most people who say that haven't given soccer a chance.

However, there is a lot of diving in soccer, which adds to the notion that soccer is a pansy sport since players are falling all over the place when they're barely touched. This needs to change.

Personally, I think soccer, basketball, and ice hockey are the three most exciting sports to watch (not in any order).

I'm sure there are many reasons. Some people may feel that it's an example of America ignoring the rest of the world and just doing whatever it pleases. Some may think that it just doesn't make any sense for the US to call it football. (You have to admit, "football" is a more logical name for soccer than for the American game). Some probably even think that Americans are all stupid and weren't aware that the rest of the world already had a game called "football." To be fair, if people in some other country came up with a new game and called it baseball even though it was nothing like American baseball, I'd wonder what the heck they were thinking.

Ok let's clear a few things up. First of all soccer is the number #1 sport in the world hands down. What Americans think about soccer should not bother you.

Secondly, though soccer is the #1 sport in the world it's also the most violent. There have been numerous, and I repeat numerous soccer riots after matches in which hundreds of people were KILLED!!. When passion becomes rage you've gone too far.

Yes, certain US sports get out of hand with the occasional brawl but they don't kill each other.

Why soccer is not big in the US?
A lot of Americans don't have the patience to watch.
Soccer was the last sport to develop a league in the US.
The shoot-outs have got to go!! SO LAME!!.If you can run for 90 minutes then you can run until someone scores a legit goal. Especially in the World Cup.
All of the really good teams and leagues play outside of the US.

Americans have done everything the could to boost soccer here from hosting both the World Cup and Women's Olympic finals, and the sport was hot for about five minutes due to the US women's team winning the gold medal, since then nothing.

My question to everyone bashing Americans for not liking football is; why do you care? I mean does it really bother you that much? Football is a great sport, and there is no doubt that they are finely tuned athletes, but when the only soccer the vast majority of Americans see is MLS, can you really blame us? I personally didn’t have full appreciation for the game until I was privileged enough to see a world cup game first hand.

While I’m not a huge fan of baseball myself; the love of the game world wide cannot be denied. I have family that still live and Mexico and they love the game. To some Latin American people they see it as a way out of poverty.

With all that said, my first and only love will always be hockey. In my humble opinion it’s the greatest sport …Fast paced, hard hitting and a great atmosphere, what more could you ask for.

Well, that’s my two cents, take it for what its worth. Oh and please realize that not all Americans are rude, self-centered, arrogant pricks.

Best Regards.

Discover now the best sport betting system: http://sport-betting-tips.checkhere.info

Too many people think of sports betting as just something they do in their past time. However, many people can see the potential that exists if you manage to have the right sports betting strategy and correct approach to betting in general. Are you sick of losing? Interested in finding out how to turn your luck around? Do you want to know which sports betting strategies stand to help you make the most from your betting?

Any good strategy should allow you to place bets based on a systematic method. Of course there is always a random element or so called luck involved, but betting is all about stacking the odds in your favor. There should be no guess work involved or bets placed based on gut feelings. Betting is a business and it should be treated like one. Any money you use for betting needs to be separate from money you use for your daily life or anything else. How can you possibly expect to follow a strategy with money that was originally set aside to pay next week's rent with? You can't. This will help you to focus on the task of betting and remove any emotional strings attached to the money.

So what makes a good strategy or what should you look for in a strategy before you decide to implement it? Any good strategy needs to have a positive expectancy. This means that in the long run you will win. The hit rate of the strategy needs to be above 50% for you to be able to profit in the long run. An ideal win rate should be between 60 to 70%, because you will need to cover the fees and other expensive associated with betting. Is it feasible to expect you'll be able to find a system that has a 100% win rate? No, it isn't. The best you can do is find a system that has a positive expectancy and stick with it. In the long run you will make more money than you can possibly lose.

Keep whatever information and news you have about the teams as up to date as possible. Any changes in the teams makeup or factors that affect how the players play will great affect the potential outcome of a match. Make sure that you are constantly up to date on every aspect that affects the potential outcome of a match. Information is the key to winning at sports betting.

I love football (soccer in American). You and I have the same exact opinions regarding baseball, basketball, and american football. Especially baseball - I find their uniforms extremely gay.
but looking at the other answers, I think there's a consensus -- it's the diving in soccer. That really has to stop. World Cup 2006 will be known as the world cup of diving. It's ridiculous and dishonest. FIFA needs to really do something to fix this problem with diving, such as making the officials less strict.

I don't know, but it is probably for the same reason that our Rugby players think that American football players are pansies for playing the same game, but inside masses and masses of padding (like most Americans need padding)!

As for Baseball, is that not what the 'girls' play in our primary schools in UK, only we call it 'rounders'!

NASCAR, isn't that what Nigel Mansell had to quit when he tried it for the first time because it was soooo easy for him and he kept winning! Maybe it is also why there are no American F1 champions?

Basket-ball is surely just 'net-ball' over here and again played by little girls.....

All this said, as a rugby player, I can confirm that our football (soccer) is also a game for little girls; especially the way that England play!!!!!
