In add/remove programs (control panel) you can uninstall, and one of the options is to revert back to the previous version.

If you haven't downloaded the beta version of IE7 and then installed the final release of IE 7 over the beta it is relatively easy to get back to IE6. (If you started with the beta this won't work for you).
Simply go to your add/remove programs list and select to uninstall IE7. Once you have uninstalled IE7, you will be back to IE6. But I don't understand why you would want to revert. I think it's ironic that people clamor for more security then do all they can to get rid of the extra security LOL
The full path for this: Start/Control Panel/Add/Remove programs/Windows Internet Explorer 7.

Start>Control Panel >Add or Remove programs and search IE 7
unistall it
After that,if you want to keep the tabbed browsing facility try to use avant browser
.
it is 100% based on IE engine -it not change the version or the configuration of your ie(if you have IE6 it use ie6 if you have IE7 it use IE7) but add it more functionality.

Here are the steps:
Control Panel
Add or Remove Programs
Select IE7 from the list
Click on Change/Remove
Follow the onscreen instructions
When the following procedure is followed, IE 7 will be uninstalled and you will get your IE 6 automatically.

i had the same problem, plus i didn't particularly like the interface of IE7. Go to control panel and find add/remove programs to uninstall IE7. This will leave IE6 on your computer.

I don't know how you can be too secure. If you insist on going back just un-install IE7 from your Add and Remove Programs. Your old version will be back.
For those of you who did not like the Menu Bar, there is a tweak available that would bring back your File>Edit...... buttons.

Hi,
So many people; so many answers but none are answering the question. Any ways, click on start - control panel- add or remove.
On the top right, check 'show updates' and then IE7 will show up. You can now uninstall it easily.
Thanks.

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.
