I would disagree on Ahmadinejad as Person of the Year, for the reason being power in Iran is evenly split between him, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamanei and the Council of Guardians collectively.

Putin would be my choice. After all Gorby got it twice to make Russia go from tyrrany to democracy, so Putin should at least get one for making it go in the opposite direction

The Person of the Year thing is a joke anyway
