Go to a travel agent, book a holiday package, pack your suitcase, go to the airport, board the plane, land in South Africa, go to your hotel, have a nice trip.

Get a passport. Buy a plane ticket. Make a hotel reservation. If you are an american, visit the US State department International travel site to see if you need a visa, if there are warnings about the country, and to 'register' with the US embassy (in case of emergency).

call a travel agent, book a seat on a flight, get on the net and look for any backpackers you may get and they are decent and recognised nationally, make contact with the backpacker etc, and make sure its withn walking distance of a mall of which ther are lety

You don't need a visa but if you have a passport I am sure any travel agent would take your money..
