last month I went in to the doctor with a sinus infection (inside my head) and came out with a nasty staph infection in my (still-healing) cartilage-pierced ears - where the x-ray technician had man-handled my head when she was x-raying my sinuses!!!
damned filthy doctor's office (and hospitals)..... there's more germs there than any other place!
that's why I hate going to the doctor.

June 1996. I had a small cut on my finger (cuticle area) and a red line started running up over my hand, around my wrist and up my arm, almost to my shoulder. It was painful. I thought it was some sort of blood poisoning. I asked my mom if it looked infected and if it was a problem and she said, "Maybe, but don't worry about it"!!! I lived but I don't bother asking for anyone elses opinion anymore.
She probably should have taken me to a doctor.

I had a bad burn on my stomach in August and I asked the school nurse to check it out for me a week or so later, after I'd been putting the Silvadene cream on every day. She said it was okay.

when my son got scratched by the cat, the scratch puffed up, but it didn't end up being infected.

When I cut my finger really bad 2 years ago...Thank god i never had to say it about anything else..
