I agree! I feel fear for my kids that have to grow up in this mess! Some of the kids they go to school with look like convicts!

Ya know, there has always been a group of kids that are thugs, punks, etc. But things have always pulled through for them. Though, with this generation I see so many kids that have been spoiled rotten. They have had everything given to them without a bit of effort on their part. It's not the thugs that I am worried about, it's the middle class kids that were spoiled like they come from upper class families. What will happen to them when they leave safe college, enter the real world and discover that they have to work for a living, actually earn their keep?

You want answers from people who think the same way you do? That's not looking for advice. I'm confused by your reference to her as your future housemate in your question, yet say that she simply lives in the apartment complex you live in. Very different things here, one's a roommate the other's your neighbor. Your real issue is that he wants the two of you to befriend this lady and you (for some reason) have insecurities when it comes to him. I understand his answer wasn't what you wanted to hear, but he was simply being honest with you. People do change and it can affect a marriage, many people divorce because their lives grew apart or because the relationship changed (lack of sex, lack of commitment, not present, work, money, etc). Even your idea that loves remains the same is off, do you love him more or less than the day you met him? Love changes constantly. Being honest isn't wrong, it's just not what you wanted. Whether you have an issue remains to be seen, if you do, it's about your relationship (or lack there of), not theirs. Your fiance's mother wouldn't have found another man had her marriage been solid, people don't suddenly fall out of love with one person and in with another. It takes a lack of closeness over a long time.

I feel great fear about the human population in general. I don't know if I would target Thug boys but one of the conclusions I have come to is that the uneducated, poor, drug addicted and/or trashy sector of out society procreates like crazy having 5 or 10 uneducated, poor, dug addicted, trashy children. One or two might turn out OK. Then the educated, middle/upper class, well mannered people have 1-3 kids. You can see that the world is going to S*@T exponentially.

Fortunately, there nature seems to have instilled a leveling factor in people. As kids get older and gain experience, they seem to get more and more sane. I'm sure if you met some of the leaders of our society, such as Stephen Hawkings, Colin Power, or Arthur Miller, as teens, they would have come across as being pretty nutty too!

umm, you've got less of a selection. I think see more girls these days and not that great either. I've seen like 2 normal teen boys (drug free, not in jail) but both there dads are in the military.I know someone who teaches college and has had a huge increase of teen idiots. Their being forced to grade easier

Instead of National Geographic studying the Rainforests of South America or tribal villages in Africa, they should just send their photographers and journalists to suburban malls throughout the U.S. of A. Some of these clothes, piercings, hair styles, makeup, is quite "wild." Are youth is extremely lazy and depressed, meaning that Japan will control this country in about 30-40 years.

Not just thug boys, but girls that are having babies at 13, kids trying to kill themselves, filling up our mental wards in our hospitals, walking around on every drug imaginable....I am very afraid. My children are going to be the next generation after them and I'll be danged if my kids are going to act like that. It is going to be their job to clean up and fix what is left of the world. Good question. Thumbs up^

sometimes i do yes. i volunteer at a youth center and it really kills me to see the boys mainly not caring much about anything except making fast money.and the girls thinking about nothing but them. what happened to the kids looking for a bright future? i am sure there is a small percentage of them out there. those are the ones we have to pull us thru.

Society has always survived on the ingenuity of the brilliant. Unseen and unheard mostly.
Also, appearances are deceiving, and you don't take into account that most people do mature when they get older.
