When my sister-in-law and brother told my parents, it was on Father's Day. They bought my dad a "Grandpa's briefase" deal... I don't remember exactly what it was called but it was a little thing to put pictures of grandbabies etc in it.. When he opened it.. He immediately knew what was up... There's lots of things you can do.
*Framed ultrasounds are other gifts that scream, "I'm pregnant!" If you don't want to wait for the ultrasound you can simply give a baby picture frame with a note that reads, "Picture to arrive 7/3 (or whenever you are due).
Found some cute ideas on the websites below! Have Fun!

My first child, I was 23, getting a divorce from the father (who was an ***, I was MUCH better off) and so, I drove home for the holidays.
I really enjoyed the "I'm pregnant, can you pass the green bean casserole, please?" line, and then the stunned silence that followed by the whole family.
If this is something they'll be ecstatic about, you could stage a treasure hunt with map throughout a city. If not, it won't matter how you tell them, all they'll have to do is hold that child one time and it'll all be over with anyway!
Good luck!

If you celebrate Christmas, you could give a gift. But really, you could do these things any time of the year...
1) Wrap up a baby diaper, let them figure it out
2) Give them a "grandma / grandpa" ornament.. they would love that
3) Give them a grandma/grandpa frame. If you have an ultrasound photo, you could put that in there for now! Then the baby's photo goes in there when he/she is born.
4) Write a poem (there may be some online that you can "borrow" too).
I think those are cute ways to tell them.

sure you could make a nice dinner with baby carrots baby corn and of course baby back ribs... or anything else baby and then you sit them down at the table and show them the food and ask what does all this food have in common? Or you could play a game were he has to guess what you you draw means and then he will get she's having a baby or your a dad or whatever you want. well good luck Congrats and Merry Christmas

My boyfriend and I went to the doctor to be sure everything was fine with the baby first. Then we went home and called his mom and asked her if she was sitting down and told her. She was so happy and now we have a healthy baby that was born on October 24, 2006. Good Luck on telling your parents.

I told my parents about my first pregnancy by wrapping up a book about being a Grandparent. For the second, I had a tee shirt made for my daughter that said, "Guess who's going to be a big sister?". Hope this helps.

You don't say whether or not you are pregnant out of wedlock or if you're married. You don't say whether or not you think this will be pleasant news. Either way, honesty is the best policy. Believe it or not, most parents have unconditional love for their children and when they see their grandbaby for the first time, their hearts will be so full of joy that it won't matter!

When we told my parents, my husband and I bought pink and blue baby booties, wrapped them up, and gave them to our families during the holidays. The unexpected gift was a delight and the colors obviously told all we needed to tell!!
My sister-in-law bought a baby photo frame that said "God Bless This Child" and wrote on the inside of the frame "Picture to debut ___________" and included the baby's expected due date. Then she presented this as a gift to my brother. I loved this idea as well.
