Although Endometriosis can occur in teenagers, it occurs most commonly in women between the ages of 25 and 44. For the most part, susceptibility increases in women of child-bearing age.

There are several theories about the cause of endometriosis, however, the exact cause is not known. Therefore, I suggest you see your Physician for an evaluation because the only way to determine if you have endometroisis is with a laparoscopy, a short surgical procedure performed through a very small incision in the abdomen (usually the belly button).

Unless you have a family history, however, there is not much chance of you having endometrosis. Your physician will give you a full examination and investigate other possible causes of your symptoms, e.g. Premenstrual syndrome (PMS), Stress and anxiety, Pelvic inflammatory disease, Adenomyosis, History of sexual or physical abuse, Fibroids, and Ovarian cysts.

Hope this answers your question!

Yes it is possible. The only way to know for sure is to see a doc. I have been on bc for more than 6 years to get mine under control and keep the pain that goes w/ it at bay. You really need to see a doc so they can try and control it now, instead of waiting.

It's definitely possible. It's pretty much possible after you go through puberty. My mom had it, I have symptoms of it, but see your doctor or gynogologist and they can tell you if you need to do anything to treat your symptoms!

If you are female and you have reached puberty then it is possible.

Speak with your doctor/OBGYN to be sure - it's always best to discuss any health concerns you have with them.
