OMGSH!! I know, I was checking mugglenet.com when I suddenly read "Title for Book 7!" I was like screaming, jumping, I think my heart stopped beating in the minutes I ran to jkr.com to open the 'Mysterious Door' and I solved the hangman and there it was, the title!!!!

I think the title is awesome, the word "Deathly" totally fits the kind of book that the HP fans are expecting. Though I do have to say, I'm not completely happy with the title, and I do think that JK could've come up with something much better for her last book.

When I first read the title I thought that it was a bit to morbid to be a Harry Potter title but now I'm coming to believe that the title works well. Although 'Deathly' is a bit strange and common sounding for a Harry Potter title, I think the mystery of the meaning of 'Hallows' makes up for it. Even though I think that the title sounds as though it's not really a Harry Potter title, like it's surreal, I'm sure that this is the title that JK was looking for, a title that has mystery and a push for speculation, I'm sure that the title is perfect for what JK was hoping for.

The title didn't surprise me because I was expecting it to have something to do with spirit or a religious meaning. Since 'hallow' basically means to make something sacred, and the title is Deathly Hallows, then this must mean that Harry is going to become sacred or achieve some kind of state of human superiority by means that have to do with death. That's just my conclusion and my own theory, but it is supported by other theories I have read on websites.

There's this website that analyzes the Alchemy meaning in HP and so far they've been right about everything. They even predicted that the title will have a religious meaning and it seems like they were right. You should definitely check their site for more info on what will happen in the last book:http://www.harrypotterforseekers.com/

i think it seems fit for the title. I don't like the other's guesses you know... it's very obvious like harry potter and the death eaters i mean thats just so f##### obvious you know... My guess was almost as close to that but not as catchy so i think it sucks you know mine is harry potter and the lair of death or darkness or something like that.... But what does hallow means i think it sounds like a manor or something or maybe this is the door that can't be opened by anything in the department of mysteries in the ministry of magic office i mean maybe the lair of lord voldie was in reference of the reverse psychology somewhere the officers may not thought lord voldie will not be in or must no be seen something like the room of requirement i mean it has no keys after all...... I'm so thrilled i can't wait to have my allowance saved and by this thing>>>.... but how about the search for horcruxes i also guessed that it would be hp and the horcruxes searching or something like that>>>

I owe you and apology. On closer inspection, I did indeed find the title. She certainly makes you work for it, doesn't she? I was a bit dubious at first, since J.K. was so adamant about NOT releasing the title before--and there are so many rumors.

It's an ok title. It's a little strange, but maybe it'll make more sense after reading the book.

I think it's a wonderful title. They always give you just enough to keep you wondering, and yet they rarely have anything to do with the plot line. I'm just wondering where the HALLOWS come in. Because those are holy objects or people, and we haven't heard anything about any type of holy anything in the books. I'm soooo excited, but it'll be sad when it's all over.

I am very excited! I looked up Hallow in the online Webster dictionary. It means to make holy devoted or venerate. It's opposite is to desecrate.

When I ran the Microsoft Thesaurus is gave me consecrate or make holy.

Sounds like maybe it is referring to deatheaters or dementors. Possibly Jo is referring to the death eaters as a deadly cult.

Also, James and Lily made their home in Godric’s Hollow, which is quite close to hallow. It would be poetic justice if Voldy died where he killed Harry’s parents.

I like the title Its much darker than the rest of the books. She is suppose to kill off two characters in this one but I am not sure which ones. Probably Harry since this is the VERY last book. These books are driving her crazy!!!

I don't care what they call it as long as it delivers as well as the Harry Potter chain!!! PS- I think they could have been a little more creative with the title, but it still works.

Halloween is All Hallows Eve - maybe its going to end on 1 November. Maybe that's the date Harry will die...

Exciting though isn't it!
