I think some people are vindictive and go through some posts just to give thumbs down to answers and questions. I get thumbs down for answers that are perfectly reasonable sometimes.
I piss off the 11 year olds over in Dating posting 14 paragraphs about how some boy on the bus positioned his pencil, does he like me, what does it mean?!?!?! Barf.

Nothing lost of gain so nothing to sweat over. Now when it comes to answers that I put my head and heart in and get a thumbs down, I wish I could ask the person who gave it why?
Then again there are few participants running a race to see who can get the most thumbs down. he he

It used to bother me but not anymore. I just keep track of all the answers as they come in. By using this strategy I can figure out which of the participants gave me the "thumbs down". Then I know which participant(s) to disregard in the running for "best answer". If a person doesn't like my question why should he or she get the points? It's only fair to practice this way.
