Shhh! As long as the Democrats insist on choosing an extreme liberal to run for President, we keep winning.

EDIT: Who knows what Obama is. Point being, libs can't take the South.

Actually this is a good question because it's true that a lot of farther-left liberals are really destroying our image. But it seems you've bought into it by asking questions that demonize liberals. Just like not all conservatives vote a single way. The far left and far right in this country have had too much to do with modern politics, don't you agree?

Are you aware that the majority of Americans are moderates? It's the extremists who get the most airtime on crappy cable news outlets, and leave us all feeling like the country is horribly polarized. Get out and talk to some people in real life for a change.

I disagree completely. That's like saying the same about the far right people. And by the way, are you aware of how many moderate democrats will be in Congress next year?

Really Ruth? I didn't know Barack Obama was an extremist!!

This is the same problem that the moderate conservatives face as well.

Both major parties are extremists and have left the moderates (conservative and liberal) behind.

Would this question be any different if you changed the word Liberals to conservatives and the word left to right??

answer: NO

there are two sides in politics. Both sides have extremists. why not accept it and move on?

The same can be said about extreme conservatives. The extremes of any viewpoint are just that, extremes. And smart people identify them as such and don't confuse them with the more moderate, free-thinking people.

do you realize you're an idiot with absolutely no knowledge of how politics really works?

if i know i'm right, why would i need the other 90% who are idiots to agree with me? i'm not going to compromise on right or wrong and i'm certainly not going to alienate the few people who get it to appease a few right wing idiots.

you have made possibly the most mediocre argument i've seen on yahoo all week.
