3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

cut back on your sodium - not just table salt... no soda-pop, no processed foods. cut back on the red-meat (go with chicken & low-mercury fish while pregnant). also, try taking a 20 minute walk twice a day - aerobic exercise is very beneficial for you while pregnant, since you need the extra oxygen. lastly, check your local recreation complex for inexpensive pre-natal yoga classes. the stretching is good for you, and the breathing techniques can not only reduce your stress level, thereby lowering your blood pressure, but they can help you with your focus when your labor starts... Always consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program. best of wishes to you!

You can lower your BP simply by taking a walk every day, cut or reduce your salt and sugar intake. These things will also help your delivery and make you feel less tired.

High blood pressure can be related to your kidney function. You may need to go on medications. Consult your doctor.

I agree, don't try home remedies. Your doctor can prescribe BP medication that will not be toxic to your baby.
