Every time undercover investigators enter the facilities of KFC’s suppliers, they find hideous abuse and suffering. At one KFC “Supplier of the Year” slaughterhouse in West Virginia, workers were caught tearing birds’ heads off, ripping them apart, spitting tobacco into their eyes, spray painting their faces, and throwing them against walls—all while the birds were completely conscious and able to feel pain. This is in stark contrast to KFC’s claim that it “only deal[s] with suppliers who promise to maintain our high standards and commitment to animal welfare.”
Some of the largest and most respected newspapers in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia have written scathing editorials decrying the conditions at these facilities, and customers have spoken with their wallets, turning away from KFC in droves as they learn about the hideous ways that the 850 million chickens who end up KFC’s buckets each year are abused.

The investigations detailed below prove that KFC desperately needs to adopt the recommendations of its animal welfare advisors (five of whom have quit in recent years after KFC refused to listen to their advice) to eliminate at least the very worst abuses that chickens suffer for KFC.
This is just wrong! We need to do something about it...even if it's as little as not eating there!

Of course it's not Just KFC...it's many many other things. Everyone feels like it's fine to abuse animals...and IT'S NOT...while yes God tells us to eat meat...he doesn't say "go make masses so you can sell them and you can make profit out of it oh and while you're at it...make them suffer"...GOD made animals! They're his property...how would you feel if after you made something someone went and tore it? Same thing. I'm sorry...It just makes me so sad and mad.

The KFC chicken supplier where I live is Country Ribbon. They supply the same chicken we get in the supermarket, the same chicken at KFC's competitor here Mary Browns, pretty anywhere you go that has chicken. I know people that work there and it's not as bad as what you state, but it is a bit inhumane, but rightfully so. It's called the food chain.
This kind of thing isn't any different for any other kind of edible animal. What happens to veal and pork and beef is just as bad or worse. So unless you're ready to start paying $20 for a Big Mac or a McChicken, don't expect those cows and chickens to be living the high life on a quarter acre plot for them each. In the mean time if you can't stand it, become a vegan.

As long as what the slaughterhouses are doing to the chickens doesn't affect the cleanliness/safety/quality/taste of the meat, I really don't think about it, and I will continue to eat there. So much about KFC in the news lately. What about Holly Farms/Tyson/Perdue/Amick Farms. Does anyone ever go investigate their plants? Maybe the same abuses are going on there?

I so totally agree with you. I have not had kfc in over a year because of this. Yes chickens have to be killed but not in such an inhumane way. I wish their was something more we could do but if more and more people stop eating their maybe eventually things will change or even better kfc will shut down.

I think that is an undocumented rant. Where is the proof that such stupid things are being done? Luckily no one who is a libel lawyer bothers to read questions like that or they would be on you ASAP.
That sounds like part of a PETA hate campaign to keep people eating grains, sticks, and grass rather than tasty animal flesh.

Leaptad: Check out Peta's site.
sishakara: No, it's not a hoax. Play the video EVIDENCE on PETA's site. And, yes, we eat chickens, and we have to kill them first. But, put them to rest humanly, quickly, without knowing they are in pain. These people are cruel. Those chickens left bad energy in their bodies before they died, and when you eat them, you absorb that energy. Good luck with that.
Also, ban Iam's. Warning: video evidence is there too, but you may just want to take my word on it and not watch. I still have nightmares.

I personally would like to see the source of your information before I made a decision. I know it does happen...... but I also know a lot of stories are blown out of proportion.
PS: Forgot to mention I did check with http://www.snopes.com and there is NOTHING listed regarding this. So I would be interested in hearing where you heard it from.
