I caught 3 flies and put them on the circuits. Now I push the colored buttons but nothing happens. Do I need to put a nickel in the slot to make the race happen? Where do I get the nickel? Does the mouse trap have anything to do with it?

after you catch the flies and put them on circuits.
switch the dial to 35 then push the button
jiggle the piggy bank to release a coin
put coin in slot, move lever
see the order of the colour of each horse, and press the buttons accordingly
repeat till door unlocks

You know the little electric things ( 3 of them). Place the flies ( by dragging them) right over top of the electric things, they then get electricuted. After that your have to pick which horse is going to win the race by clicking one of the cloured buttons
