Make sure the fuel is on and the ignition and the kill switch are turned to the on position and the choke is on full. Kick it like you are not even trying to start it, just turning the engine over in other words. You will feel it getting harder to turn over, this is good, it means that you are on the compression stroke. As soon as it gets harder to turn over, keep turning the engine over maybe one quarter kick, then let the kicker come all the way up and kick it like it scratched your car. Repeat if necessary...
