Liberals love this country as much as conservatives. Maybe more because we look to it to provide for our citizens and future generations and not just a resource to be abused. And maybe when you idiots learn this, you'll realize that our criticisms are meant to improve the country, not keep it stuck in the ruts of war, racism, bitter class division, ignorance and general intolerance.
I've recited the pledge of allegiance countless times in my life. NEVER with a "but."

I can pledge allegiance just like our fore fathers did before 1954 without the under god bit that religious kooks threw in as some stupid litmus test against communist who don't believe in god. This has only served to divide and fan mistrust between the religious and the secularist and should be removed. Government should stay far away from the culture wars and maintain strict neutrality. What would be so wrong with that or is conflict and division your main idea of fun?

you guys are so good at stereo typing. Every Liberal I personally know, can and does say the Pledge of Allegiance. And they all do so without any "preconditions". Are you sure you didn't want to ask another question about Liberals hating Christmas. That's another stereo type you guys think works so well, but as we all know, the joke is on you.
by the way: the answer to your insulting question is YES!

What! You've seen a liberal saying the Pledge of Allegiance?!? When? Where? Was he or she sober? In the presence of impressionable children?

Of course I can, why wouldn't I be able to? However, if I may, the pledge means nothing but breath and words if you don't believe in it. That's the true meaning of patrotism.

Who the hell are you to define a patriot?
I'll recite the pledge as originally written by a Baptiste minister, without the words "under God".
