Like everything else, moderation is the key....you can put a little money into European stocks or funds ...but don't get carried away. I have had great sucess with an Eastern European fund: up 109% in about 30 months.( EUROX) but you have to realize that it is " risky" because it's mostly invested in Russian energy...and who knows when someone can change things at a moment's notice?
If you're looking at individual stocks, I have been watching a French company dealing mostly with water..(VE) but all of a sudden I'm starting to see their name( Veolia) on dumpsters all over the Chicago area...SO.. they are expanding into waste handling and into U.S ...A very good sign...wouldn't you think?
Investigate both... good luck.
