Self Pitty...there you go. Thats your problem. You said it yourself.

Self pitty will kill you. Why do you stay so sorry for yourself and do nothing about it? maybe you want to be unhappy. You know that you are the one who controlls how you feel. You choose to be happy, and you choose to be sad. Controlling your thoughts is very important. Sucks to hear, but you need to have some self controll, find something else to think about and do, and get on with your life, for your daughters sake. To you honestly think that your daughter isn't affected by your mood???? Do you want her to feel the way you do? Because she will! and she probably does already. Children take on the emotions, thoughts and actions of their parents.

it sounds like you have seasonal affected depression (s.a.d.) which affects a lot of people including myself. it comes about as a result of the days being shorter in the wintertime, which means that you don't spend as many hours looking at light.
What you should try to do is to get outside more to see what little bit of daylight there is, go to places that are well-lit and spend a lot of time there, sometimes turn on every light in your house if you have to for about an hour. it has been scientifically proven that when your eyes look at light, it puts you in a better mood.

You have your daughter, you're not alone and that is a blessing.
Instead of self pity, why not concentrate on your daughter and what will make her happy this Christmas holiday?

get into some group, church, or volunteer at soup kitchen or a local hospital. you need to focus on something besides your own hurts.
there is a great big world out there. go out and become a part of it,after all, there is nothing wrong with dancing alone--that way you can dance in your own direction.
