What kind of English are they using?
I noticed a funny accent.

They're using English Accents. You can't understand them, turn on the subtitles. That's what I usually do. And not all the actors are American. Orlando Bloom & Keira Knightley are both British, as well as many of the others.

Turn the subtitiles on. Most tv's have it and most dvds are equipped for it in many languages. It really helps when you happen to miss a line that was spoken.

Um, fake ones? "Will Turner" is supposed to be English but all are American as far as I know.

Sorry, but I couldn't tolerate watching that piece of crap movie in one sitting, so I went to see something else.
