Click on the google logo on the left of the google tool bar and select clear search history.

As already stated, but you can also go Start - Control Panel - Network & Internet - Internet options and clear a load of dross there.

if you mean in the drop down menu then just highlight what you want to delete and hit delete on your keyboard.
