Do feminine washes work at all? Which ones work best? I've been contemplating whether I should use one or not, just for the sake of feeling fresh. Also, I may be engaging in intimacy soon and I just want to have that fresh feeling for his sake and mine. Please help.

Women honestly need to get past the feeling that their vaginas are dirty. Bacterially, your vagina is cleaner than your mouth. It is a self-cleaning, self-maintaining organ. All you need to do is wash the outside with mild soap and water when you bathe, and you will be perfectly "fresh".

Feminine washes are basically expensive mild soap. They do not contain any ingredients different from a typical soap. It won't harm you or anything, and if it gives you a thrill by all means buy some. Personally I'm inclined to save the money:)

I personally dont see any harm in using feminine washes. Now feminine douches are totally different you are actually inserting cleasnsing fluids into the vagina and I beleive that this can cause dryness or irritation in some women not all of us. Use the Massengil wipes and the wash is good also.

Personally, I have not used feminine washes before, so I dont' know if they are "really" safe...BUT I use an alternative....I feminine wipes...they make you feel fresh and its just like a baby wipe! They smell good too, and its not like you have to shoot anything up there :) hehe, you can get them at any drug store by the pads/tampons!! Hope this helps :)

feminine wash sometimes depending ont he females body, can cause very bad urinary tract infection, they say woman shouldnt even bathe in water with any bubble bath or scented soaps. feminie wash have vingegar in it so it might make you a little sore. ive use them before and had to go to the hospital because it irritated me so badly. i would go to your ob/gyn and find out exaactly what you could do to stay fresh without any irritation or anything. i hope this helps you.

Just remember that overuse of the feminine washes kills the good bacteria also which will lead to yeast infections and vaginal irritation.

They can push bacteria up into the cervix and start a nasty infection.
