There are some good foreign-language films:
Tesis (Thesis)- Spanish film about murders in a film school
The Eye- a Korean film which someone already mentioned is incredibly gross but a good one
Ringu and Ju-on- the Japanese originals of The Ring and The Grudge
And in ENnlish:
The Brood- David Cronenberg's film about a woman who births "Children of Rage" which is actually kind of gross...

'The Eye' (not Korean has stated by others but it is in fact a Thai / Chinese film)
'Ju-on' the Japanese original.
'The Tale of Two Sisters' that is a pretty freaky Korean film.
'Ringu' the Original Japanese. It may be dated but the ending when Sadako comes out of the TV is still a spin chiller.
'Audition' Another really cool Japanese film.
'Uzumaki' A seriously psychedelic horror film from Japan based on the manga of the same name.
(Can you see a theme here? I love Asian cinema)
There are so many good horror films that my mind is going blank to the ones I have seen.

The Hills have eyes (the new one) Is quite creepy well its more disturbing than creepy.
Saw3 isn't that scary it was a cheeply made film.
Santa slay is about this Santa who goes round killing people.
That sound like a comedy but it ain't.
The Grudge 2 is spooky but its not really enough to give yuo the creeps

The Audition- Japanese film where a girl is auditioning for a director. This movie is quite simply....disturbing. Read the description and what one commenter had to say. You can see the full text on the link below. This is the scariest thing in the world. All I have to say is there is a scene involving dental floss and fingernails (just imagine) and one involving the consumption of vomit. Yeah, uh, pretty scary.
Description:
Story: Shigeharu Aoyama (Ryo Ishibashi) is simple widower living a lonely life with his son, Shigehiko (Tetsu Sawaki). Going off an idea from his producer friend, Yasuhisa Yoshikawa (Jun Kinimura), Aoyama decides to participate in a fake audition in order to find a suitable woman to remarry. Though innocent in execution, Aoyama is successful in the mock audition and finds a beautiful girl by the name of Asami Yamazaki (Eihi Shiina), who seems more than what she portrays herself to be. Filmed with unbridled ferocity and unrestrained intensity, Takashi Miike presents his horror magnum opus, "Audition."
Review: I hate this film... I hate this film simply for the sole reason that it accomplishes what many films before its time has failed to do: Scare the living sh*t out of me.
Check it out!!

High Tension is crazy good. I highly recommend that movie. Running Scared is good, more of a thriller, edge of your seat kinda flick. Hills Have Eyes is also good. Man I love scary movies but I am stuck at the moment. I started to watch watch Wolf Creek but it started to get scary and my bf wasnt there so I turned it off.
