The standard in economics is that if there is a minimum wage increase, all other salaries/wages increase as well, which in turn increases their cost of running a business. This is a huge reason why many employers don't like an increase the minimum wage. It really depends on the employer though whether they actually make the increase to other wages already above the minimum

Sorry, but since you are salary, it will not affect you. But just to be clear on the min wage increase. In 2007 it will go up to 7.50 per hour and by 2008 it will increase again to 8.00 per hour.

You have a college degree, try get a city job or a state job, and it you will make less when the minimum wage goes into effect then get a minimum wage job, ok.

no, it will only affect you when you pay more at places that hire minimum wage workers (Taco Bell, Burger King, etc.)
