Then it happened again at 36 weeks only i didnt have any cervical change..my contractions were off the chart over then 100 mark...every 1 1/2 min for 15 hours...then they stoped. Im reallly getting sick of this false labor stuff...my son dropped at 30 weeks and i lost my plug at 33 weeks...i have tonsss and tonss of presure...and thse shooting pains "down there" are almost unbarable... im afraid to keep running to the hospital with all these contractions because i cant tell if its really labor or not. ill be 37 weeks monday i have an appointment tomorrow any suggestions? or exspreiances?

It could be that darm braxton hicks thing you know were its false labor. It would be best to consult your doctor and tell him/her whats going on so that they can give you opptions

Dont be afraid of going to the hospital because you never know how far your dilated, You should go to the hospital because that baby will still be considered a premmie until you hit the 38 week mark. You dont want to rush things because the babys lungs need to develop throughly. I went into labor at 34 weeks and they stopped my labor and i walked around dilated to 3-4 for 4 more weeks. When my baby was born he still had trouble breathing even though he was a 38 weeker. They put him in the NICU unit for 6 days before he got to come home. Tell the doctor that you are feeling pressure and let him examine you, maybe the baby has moved farther down the birthing canal. Good luck to you and your baby

If you've dilated then it's true labor. I had contractions that were 1 to 4 minutes apart for 3 days, but I was at 29 weeks and was given shots to stop labor. I also dilated to a 1 and was 50% effaced. Don't worry about running to the hospital too much. It's much better to be safe than sorry. I would guess that you aren't too far from delivery. I would discuss the pain with your doctor though, at 37 weeks they may decide to deliver. Good luck!

All labour is real labour, false labour is a term made up by men!

Personally I would just relax and stay home. You are term now and if your labour kicks into gear and you don't realise it the worst that would happen is you have your baby at home. No biggie. If you do have your baby at home 1) Make sure the baby is breathing then 2) Keep the baby warm(Being cold helps trigger the first breath) 3) Do not cut the cord for until the baby is breathing well and is pink. That's all you really need to know!

Maybe just talk to your baby and tell him to come out soon.

First, Go to the hospital as often as you feel you need to. That is what they are there for. It's your health and your baby's so better to make endless trips to the hospital than take any chances.

For me I knew that labour had started for sure when the contraction and the pain came together and went together. I'd had pains for several days and suddenly it was completely gone, like it had never been. I was so pleased got up and started doing things.........until the next contraction, when that came and went, I knew.

It won't be long now honey, good luck

Try taking a warm shower. That may ease things off a bit or relax you if anything. See if you can get through till tomorrow at your appointment. If you cant go to the hospital that's what they get paid to do!

If you want this baby to come try sex, walking, nipple stimulation, pumping ect ect.

That baby wants out. That's obvious, but you have to wait until the doctor says it's safe, so if you have any problems you should call him, or if it's after hours you should go to the hospital. You don't want anything to happen to baby, so play it safe. This will all be over soon.

I'd say any day now. and since your almose 37 weeks they won't stop you anymore...and hopefully it won't stop by itself anymore. But i'd ask your dr. to induce you the mext time you see him most dr. would be willing about 39 weeks but not sooner b/c of risk to the baby so if you make it that far that's an option. otherwise WALK WALK WALK WALK and after you WALK have LOTS of sex!!!!

when you see your doctor tommorow tell him exactly what you said here. i know when i went to the hospital, they were going to send me home and i said no. i know im going to have him today. so they said they keep me for an hour and watch. well they came in after the hour was up and said they were keeping me. good luck when the baby wants out she or he will be out in a flash.
