It can be deposited in your account. Anyone who endorses it can cash or deposit it, so be careful with it. You can also take it to the bank it is drawn on to cash it. Your bank may also cash it, depending on the status of your account with them, and the size of the check.

Do it either way, depending on how you feel about the payor.

Do you trust that the check is good? Deposit it.

Might the check be no good, or is it from a stranger? Bring it directly to his/her bank and cash it there, if possible.

Cash is always king!

The check is yours - deposit at your bank. Sometimes if someone doesn't know who will cash it, they write "CASH"... that means that anyone can cash it... but beware - if you lose it, whoever finds it can do the same thing. At that point there really isn't a way to tell who cashed it and you will lose out on your money.

You can try to cash it at your own bank but you might want to go to the bank that the check was written on. If they give you a hard time, just sign the back and write "for deposit only" and put it in your acct. through the ATM. I find I have less trouble that way.

Yes, you can cash it at your bank. Just make sure you endorse the back of it right away. If it's lost, anyone can cash it.

i believe you can still cash it just endorse it on the back and put your account # on the back as well but if I were you just to be safe, I would DEPOSIT the check and not just cash it
