I am always depressed on New Years Eve. I think because another year has passed, the time is just flying out the window these days. Christmas is a better day for me.

Between the two I would say Christmas. The problem I have always found with new years eve is that, no matter how elaborate and wonderful the plans, there is a sense that you could be doing something better or going to a better party.
