I have talked to many people who don't even believe bisexuality exists! They think that you can only prefer 'either' 'or', which isn't true.
Then you have people who believe that bisexuals cannot be monogamous.
I am attracted to both sexes, and I'm married. My wife knows that in the past, I've had sex with both women and men, and that I am now committed to HER alone. I am no more likely to cheat than a straight or gay person. What's so difficult to understand?

There are some people who don't believe in bisexuality. Those people feel a person can either be straight or gay. No in-between. Those same people feel a person who identifies him or herself as bisexual is in denial of their true sexual gay nature.

I personally believe that loving a person and being committed to that person has nothing to do with being straight, gay or bisexual. BUT... Maybe a lot of people think that for bisexual people it would be harder to be committed and faithful because they think you have twice the chance of being attracted to someone who might make you stray from your relationship.

I am gay, but I do know guys who are bisexual and married... and faithful to their wives, so you're not alone!

Because a lot of people who have a "one-sided" sexuality (at least 80% preference or so) cannot fathom that some people have a 50-50 outlook on sexuality. They cannot understand how attraction happens, when theirs is so defined and limited. Don't mind them, their views depends on where they come from and what they know. After all, they really won't totally know how you feel unless they walk in your shoes.

We see the world not as it is... but as who we are.

I know what you mean. Some straights think 'you're just confused.' Some gays think 'he's just saying that because he's too much of a pussie to admit he's fully gay.'

But it's all nonsense. You're simply bisexual and I'm glad that you love and accept yourself. I wouldn't give you a hard time about it personally.

Absolutley nothing. I believe, as I am sure you do, that love has no predetermined form. I personally haven't found love in a man, but I have known gay people and even dated a bisexual once. They are no different than me, and with the way the world is today, if you find love, you are to consider yourself very fortunate , in whichever form it takes. Kudos to you and your wife!

It's irritating. Sometimes I just tell people I'm gay otherwise they assume bisexual = straight person who experiments.

Other times I tell people I'm straight because they assume I'm 100% gay and not attracted to women.

some gays are jealous/angry because if we fall in love with the opposite sex we can get married.
both groups on some level feel that being bi means a larger chance to cheat (thisis kinda true)

others don't believe we exist because they can't hadle soemthing that violates their pre-formed ideas or don't want to admit they've had bisexual feeling before.

It's probably because most heteros are comfortable in their defined role, and most gay people have had to "come out" as gay and state their prefernce as something that defines them. to both of these groups i can see they might find it annoying that someone could just have freedom to do what(who?)ever they want and not stick to some strict sexual category.

If only everyone (gays too) got over this and let people do what feels right, we could all talk about more interesting things.

Everyone at one time or another becomes curious or confused about their sexuality, there's nothing wrong with experiencing both sides, but the true heterosexual or homosexual sticks to their orientation otherwise, I believe bisexuals just like to have their cake and eat it too, which doesn't sit right. Sorry, just my opinion.

Because people have the tendency to judge and see others through the rose-colored glasses of their own sexual orientation.
