I;m 24 and had hemorrhoid as well. You probably lacking fiber in your diet. For one week I eat mostly cereal, bread and cheese, and I had a hemorrhoid so bad that I had to take two days off work. I was afraid to eat, drink or even swallow my saliva just so it would not make it worse. Now if a eat some cheese or wheat, I make sure I also drink some milk, or eat green veggies. It makes it go down easy. You can prevent it. It's all in the foods you eat. Add more fiber. It is embarrassing because it tells people you watch what you eat. It makes you feel like you have no control. The answer is eat more fiber. I don't like taking supplements but Metamucil and green veggies will keep it from recurring. Before you discuss it with your husbad go to www.nih.gov and learn more about it. Educate him about your condition so that way he will be supportive as opposed to "ewwww".

There is no age at which you can get a hemorroid. Straining that area can cause roids. And your husband should be the one person you could confide in. Thats sad.

No you aren't to young. It isn't an age thing. Your husband has had them too I'm sure. Nothing to be ambarrased about, it will go away on it's own in a few days. Some Preporation H will help ease the discomfort in the meantime.

there is no "age" at which you get hemorroids. Having kids isn't the only thing that causes them either...I had two children and never got one before in my life. It is cold out now did you sit on cold cement? thats one way of getting them...or your pushing to hard when you poop...

Excercise I guess could cause it. Constipaton or Irrital Bowel Syndrome/disease can cause them.
Eat lots of fiber and talk to your doctor about a perscription med. Don't be so paranoid about your husband. He should love you just the same!

I don't think there is an age limit on hemorrhoids. Try some preparation H. It works pretty well. Why would you be embarrassed? Your husband will surely understand, it's not like some contagious disease!!~~

Why would you be worried he'd find out, does he inspect there all the time? What's the big deal? Eat lots of fiber, drink lots of water and you'll have easier stools which will lessen your chance of getting them.
