My boyfriend has introduced me to some really good singers (such as Katie Melua, Sara Brightman, ect.) who are not from the US but famous other places. Does anyone suggest any other good talent who are not from the US. I like some american music but I am just getting bored with it all -- alot of it sounds too much the same. Any singers/groups similar to the two I mentioned??

Maria Rita, a Brazilian singer, is great. She won 4 grammies. Her brother - Pedro Mariano - is also a great singer. Their mother - Elis Regina - is considered to be the most important Brazilian singer ever. Unfortunately she died 20 years ago. You may not understand that they say, but you will feel it. Their singing is full of emotions.

When it comes to British/American I enjoy Sting and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Josh Groban sings in four languages; he is definitely not an American. He is a very talented singer who sings operah style. Try and see what you think.
