I want to know if this story could acctually be true. I read about a girl that was pregnant for about three weeks and wanted to get rid of the baby. So she somehow pushed bleach into her uterus and after rinsed it out using water. That was the way she gave herself a abortion. This is one of those strange stories you read in myth magazines. so my question is can that really happen? and wouldn't her uterus be dissolved even though she tried to rinse it out with water after?

She would probably end up with SEVERE internal chemical burns, go into shock and die.

First off I believe this to be an Urban Legend. Bleach, no matter where in the body, would kill you almost immediately.
Second, it probably comes from the way a Saline abortion is performed, in which salt water is injected into the womb through a needle inserted through the woman's stomach and it causes the developing baby to disintegrate a horrible, slow, painful, death.
Don't ever introduce anything internally into your body!!! You could very well kill yourself, even water can cause H2O intoxication and kill you!!

Thats an odd story...I'm sure putting bleach inside your body is not a good idea whatsoever, bleach is SO harsh it dissolves almost anything (for cleaning purposes) So I don't see why it would'nt dissolve the lining of the uterus as well..but don't try it!

Urban legend! Don't believe everything you read. If bleach could dissolve a uterus, it would dissolve everything else too. The container it comes in, her hands, the turkey baster, the outer lip area......see where I'm going with this?

No it will not "dissolve" the uterus but it will cause infection and scaring so bad that she most likely will never have kids again. Technically she poisoned the baby therefore killing it causing her self to have a "spontaneous abortion".

Dissolve? Probably not. Chemical burn, yes. That sounds incredibly agonizing.
I can't say whether or not it's an urban legand, but people did a lot of stupid things to terminate pregnancies before legalized abortion. A lot of them died or permanently destroyed their fertility because of these techniques.

That sounds so dangerous it isn't even funny. This would result in such serious chemical burns that it not only would cause an abortion but could even kill her or make her sterile for life with complications lasting her whole life.

yes. but not if you dilute it enough. pure bleach would have caused her pain and maybe bleeding. either way, it's probably an urban legend..
