Hey check the site below. People dont really answer your question and just tell you not to try it, I dont think its awful if women have been using it for so long. I'll try it today and let you know how it works, if it does for you let me know

Like most - I'd avoid the castor oil.
In addition to walking - you can get evening primrose oil at a healthfood/or vitamin store.
The site below may give you some ideas to kick things in gear.

I have also heard that castor oil causes the baby to have a bowel movement and could put the baby in danger. You may want to call your doctor to make sure everything is okay.

It won't! Castor oil doesn't make you go into labor. Have sex or eat the spiciest food you can handle....sex will get you going sooner than anything else!

When you are sitting on the toilet wishing you didn't take it.
You should have tried something else.
Walking
Nipple Stimulation
Pumping
Sex
More walking
Castor oil is a natural laxative..some people swear by it but I wouldn't want to have laxative's in my system while giving birth......JUST ME THOUGH.
Good Luck Hun and congrats.

If your baby's not ready to be born there's not any reason to try and induce your labor. You're not even beyond your "due date" yet!
