I fell off my horse last time I rode him. He's got a great temper usually and is very reliable. What do you think happened to him??
Thanks.

hun theres no way to answer this question!!! Whilst we generally have a good idea about our horses temperment and reliability etc - at the end of the day they are a living being and therefore entitled to react differently on occassions.
it could have been any of a million things - spooked from a fright/discomfort/bad day - the list is endless.
the only thing you need to take away from this experience is that you can NEVER trust an animal - I know myself even around my own horses that I can be too relaxed trusting them not to kick or bite etc - which thankfully the havent yet - but like I said - you can never predict these things!
You'll have several more falls throughout your horsey career - so just take it as it comes!!! xx

Oh, horses can be so bizarre sometimes.

Your horse was probably just having an "off day" and was being grumpy. All living things get grumpy and mean sometimes! =)

Your horse could also have had to much energy. Obviously lunging him would help that problem.

Pain could also be the problem. Your horse could be hurt and may want you to leave him alone. If you think this is the case you may want to have him checked out. The pain could also have been temporary and caused if you yanked of his mouth or sat on him funny.

The last thing I could think of is that your horse is was spooked or got scared. If he freaked out and you weren't prepared that could have caused some trouble.

Hope this Helped!

depends why you fell off - it could be your riding, or something spooking your horse or maybe your horse has a bad back or sore teeth. Maybe your horse is just a bit fresh at the moment. Your best bet is to get yourself some riding lessons with a BHS qualified riding instructor who can help you learn more about your horse.

could the reason that you fell off be your bad riding . as many people that make mistakes try to blame it on some thing or some one else .
