I currently am starting to keep chiclids have had other kinds of fish off and on for about a year and a half I know dat dey R much diffrent fish den othas so I have been doin my research it has been aroun 2 month they R all doin fine The Question is I like to clean the tank once a week while doin a 25% water change and during that time I take all da decore out of the tank is this stopin the fish from establishin territory? I know dey R territorial by nature but I can't seem to distinguish weather or not the fish R claimin a territory or can they not because it dosent go bak into the exact some spot every week when I do water change is this gonna cause a prob in da long hall?

I would suggest only taking the decors out every 2nd or 3rd week instead, maybe even longer. The only thing I really do is move them around when i'm syphoning out the gravel.

i had cichlids for a long time and they are territorial but they aren't to bad they will learn the boundaries just if you plan to keep several of them make sure to give them plenty of hiding places they will claim the space they want and they will leave each other alone for the most part. Fish are like anything else though alot of how aggressive they are depends on the fishes personality. you can get to cichlids the same kind and one may live with pretty much anything you put in there and the other may try and kill everything in the tank but i think u'll be ok as long as you get plenty of hiding places for them like i said i kept them for a long time.

Woah, lol, please make an effort to type properly :) For those of us who are not fluent in whatever you call that, it's tough to read.

You should not be removing the décor out of the tank every time you clean. If they get really gunky, you can remove them and wash them, but otherwise, it is unnecessary.

Yes, it is preventing them from establishing their own territories (unless everything is going back in the exact same spot), which you can let them do so long as there is no bullying. If you introduce new fish or notice that one fish is being a bully, then you can move the decorations around, which bascially gives them a "clean slate" to work with.

So, leave the decor alone for the time being. Let the cichlids do their stuff.

I assume you are referring to African Cichlids.
When I vacuum and clean the aquarium, I just move the rocks and caves around but not totally out of the aquarium. I also do not disturb every cave and rock formation each time I clean my client’s aquarium, but I move décor on a rotating basis (as do my employees).
If you have African Cichlids make sure to keep a pH above 8.0 and a kH above 240 ppm.
Feed a diet high in spirulina algae such as Spirulina 1 for long term health and less pollution that leads to dirty aquariums.
Two filters is best for redundancy and improved circulation (internal filters are a good compliment here).

If they go back even after everything was moved to be cleaned then everything is fine and you should be able to continue to do it. I would try to keep it in the same spot though once you put everything back in!
