I think it encourages segregation and that can be dangerous. People will become more ignorant as they won't know what's going on in the outside world. It could also breed prejudice

No, and I never would. The only fences I want near my house are the ones to keep the cows and the horses in the fields!

Yes I do. It is called a zoo. This place encourages segregation of property owners and thieves who would steal some of us.
Now, my gated community is further segregated. For some reason the zookeepers like keeping Tigers like me away from baboons!

Just about, I am in a small village where every movement is observed and commented on endlessly.
No, it will never be the norm! David Koresh and the Branch Davidian tried that already.

What's wrong with this? Chances are communities like that are nearly litter-free, much, much safer than living in a non-gated neighborhood, and generally better all around. So what if the residents become out of touch--they're away from crime, poverty, crack addicts, and any- and everything else that's bad or scary. If I could afford to live in a neighborhood like that, you bet I would!

no i dont, actually i live in a mixed,, middle to lower class neighborhood,,,,,, most criminals go outside their own to commit crimes,,, at least down here in the south, but i do have a big dog lol and a father with a gun,,,,,,,

Not really, but we do post want ads around the community. this seems to keep the blacks away.
