Well if hes been told already, tell him again and again until he comes to work with a nice colgate smile, if that doesnt work tell boss to let him go. Hygeine is important in the workplace.

I always just say that the person's breath smells "garlicy" like they have been eating something with a lot of garlic. It at least draws attention to the fact they have a problem...maybe then they will at least throw in a piece of gum or something... It's bad to have to deal with I know. I have a co worker with the same problem. Like her teeth are rotting inside her mouth. Hard to tell someone especially since you don't want to neccessarily hurt their feeling.

Good Luck!

it is very possible that this person has periodontal desease and brushing and gargling and sucking on mints won't help. I am not sure how you could tell them this, but if you do get some good advice on how to mention his breath, I would recomend they see a dentist and very soon. This desease means something is rotting in their mouth and icausing this horrible smell. Whatever is rotting needs to be removed ASAP. If this goes untreated it can also cause other health problems for them too.

Since he has been told this before and he is still coming to work with a stinky breath...Then maybe it is nothing he can do about this at home...Your co-worker might need to see a dentist...He may have halitosis...He may need more than toothpaste and mouth wash...At first I was thinking maybe he can't afford toothpaste..But a tube of toothpaste don't cost that much and like you said he is your co-worker so I know he can afford toothpaste since he has a job...So my answer is maybe he need to see a dentist.

I wouldnt . If your sat chatting with him always make sure you have plenty of gum on you and insist he has a piece ! At least then his breathe is fresh when hes talking to you and maybe he`ll get the message. Sometimes telling people the truth can just push them away.

If he has already been told by someone else, and didnt heed to it, then you just need to say something bluntly and straight forward. Of course, he could have halitocious, which is a condition treated by the dentist, and maybe he cant afford it.

Very politely. Its difficult living with bad breath. He's probably more aware of it than you are. Find a good time and place to tell him.
