She is really good looking, stunning, has a good voice (but the music drowns her when she tries to sing more softly). She and her family are right to be proud. BUT in 5 years time people will probably be saying "remember that Leona from X factor". Look at Michelle Mcmanus, Gareth Gates etc

She says she is going to make 50 million - no way. The only one who is going to make money is Simon Cowell, he made 3 million from the phone calls alone. She says she will probably marry her ex - probably yes. Then there will be a tour, an album of covers then bye bye because there will be another X Factor. Will Young springs to mind.

If the prize was a million pound contract to record their own songs - that would be a very different story! I can't say anything but let's wait and see. I don't believe she's big in America, they've got loads of singers like her at every corner.
I remember saying a year ago that Shayne Ward will be forgotten by Xmas 06 and my colleague said "no, this one will last I'm sure", which was a common opinion then. Well, he lasted about 2 months longer than Steve, true. So the same thing might happen with Leona, now it seems she will last but she might not. Though Simon fancies her (which doesn't necessarily mean they're having an affair), so he will make more effort than with others. But don't forget in 6 months' time he'll be busy preparing another X factor, so he might not have time for her.

no, i think that Leona is in a totally different league to the others. People already love her in America. I think shes great and she is definitley more than just this years hype!! michelle mcmanus was crap right from the start.....she was never going to last!!

She might be more successful than the others, she has a very good voice and is very pretty so she's more saleable than Steve Whatisname and Shayne Thingummy. She might even be able to crack America.
Although I have to agree that the previous two X Factor winners seem to have sunk without trace.
I guess it depends whether she makes good choices with the songs she releases and how good her management and publicity is, as poor management and publicists can ruin a potential superstar.

i for my area think of she is a greater suitable singer all around than Mariah Carey. she will sing in a pitch suitable voice and it sounds quite organic too. I have to say i cant stand her. She has no originality to her voice at all, she cant sing fast songs only slow ones and Ben was right when he said that crap record was picked for her because they pushed the "she will be the first woman to win". She can go to America and stay there. Ohh i feel soooo much better now that's off my chest.

Yeh I'm not that impressed by her because it is about more than the voice. I wanted Ray to win as although he doesn't have as good a voice he does have the 'X' factor

A bit. She certainly has talent but in this business it's not just talent you need. If the X Factor can help her in anyway, then she should be happy she auditioned and won it.
