I have a very close friend who is bi but within the last many years has really become more interested in women. She is involved with a very wonderful woman and I know they love each other and I don't want to break that up but the truth is that I have loved her for many years and think that I will always love her. Should I her? Just for the sake of getting it off my heart. I don't expect her to leave her partner but I feel like I have a secret because we are friends. If I tell her I am afraid it might ruin our friendship and I don't want that. What do you think I should do?

Since you are a male, I think it would be okay to tell her. She would be flattered. Tell her exactly what you wrote in this question (you don't expect her to leave her girlfriend, you just wanted to get it off your heart, you don't want to ruin your friendship). Be sweet, kind, and understanding and all will go well.

"Just for the sake of getting it off my heart" is not a very good reason.

"truth is that I have loved her for many years" - since she is in a relationship, now is not the time to tell her.

"If I tell her I am afraid it might ruin our friendship" - I doubt that the friendship would be ruined. After all loving someone is not a bad thing, usually. Women tend to handle these kinds of thiings better than men do.

I would not tell her. What would be accomplished? She clearly is already involved with someone else, so it's not like she's going to return your feelings for her. And, it might make her feel uncomfortable around you and affect your friendship. I would suggest putting a little bit of space between you and your friend, and get out where you can meet some new girls and at the same time maintain your friendship with her.

okay i didnt read the other questons btw but heres my ans.
tell her the truth.
this thing could end up in two ways=
1)She will agree:good!
2)she wouldn't.but even if it breaks ur friendship,at least ur heart will begin the heeling process and find another person.
But if you decide to tell her,do it in a suitable place.
They say men and women cant be friends..its true as u see.

Best Wishes in that

I wouldn't tell her. For exactly the reasons you've stated. If she is happy with this woman you should let it be. If things with her gf don't work out, then you can rethink your position. If you do tell her, know that her gf will no longer trust you and your friendship may be damaged.
