Menstrual cycles are usually irregular for the first year to 18 months after the very first period. By that time you should have settled into a regular cycle, of roughly the same amount of days between the start of one period and the start of the next. If you haven't settled into a pattern by then, you need to see a doctor. Menstrual cycles are determined by an interplay of three hormones, and if the timing is off, the cycle will be off as well. It can be very easily corrected with hormones or birth control pills to regulate it. The normal time frame for a period is usually 3-5 days of flow, beginning light, going to a heavier flow, and then tapering back off. The exact day a period starts can be the same from month to month, or it may vary by a day or so, that's not coincidence, it's just the way the hormonal cycle works. It's nothing to be amazed or confused about, really. Your body works independantly of the calendar, that's just a convenience we invented. Women used to refer to it as moon flow, since most cycles run about 28 days, the same as the phases of the moon. Lacking calendars, it made a handy reference for ladies wanting to predict their next period to see what the moon phase was. Perhaps in your case, the moon was just right. It could be you are beginning to settle into a more regular pattern, it could simply be a coincidence. Either way, if you have had periods for more than a year, and they are still irregular- it's time to visit the doctor.

If you imply early like two times in a single month then you definately have got to ask your self: Have had a difference in nutrition? Have you been figuring out an excessive amount of? Have you ever been instructed that you will have a sist? Was you final interval overdue? Make definite you maintain monitor of your menstraul cycle if it keeps to be abnormal and exhibit your health care provider. If cash is a query so much areas have presents for those form of verify ups.

It may be as a result of stress ; if you are always stressed-up. It could be your diet.i.e what you eat. If you just started having your period, then you have to give it some time to stabilize.
It is advisable to see you doctor for further diagnosis. It could be something else!!!
If your period stays for only a few days, it should be that you have a light flow. And this can be as a result of your diet . It should not worry you.

It sounds like your body might be regluating itself. Its possible. Sometimes I'll go 3 months without a period, and then the next 3 months, have one every month on the same day..its odd, but there's nothing wrong with you, if you have been having normal pap smears and no pain with your ovaries (which could be a cyst) then you should be fine :)

Several things: Stress is ALWAYS a culprit!! It's amazing how much it can control your body!! Whether you mean for it to or not! How old are you? If you're younger than 40 - then you should keep track of your periods and within a couple of months of tracking - see your OBGYN. They know best. Good luck!
