I had a roommate who was given what I called a "clover plant" once. It looked like the clover you might see on your lawn, but the leaves were much bigger. (I don't remember if there were three or four leaves. Sorry.) The cool thing about this plant was that at night, it went to "sleep." The leaves would literally close together to form what looks like a flower bud. Then during the day, the leaves would open up again; it's like a flower blooming every day.

What is the real common name for what I called the "clover plant?" Is it easily found in stores? How expensive is it? Thanks for your help - it's going to make a great Christmas present!

I don't know what it's called, but I have TONNS in my shady backyard. The leafes can get up to the size of a human hand and the delicate flower is pinkish/purple. I know they aren't that common to buy because it's actually an invasive Weed. You can send me a couple of stamps with your address Label and I'll mail you some plants if you want or you could join a plant and seed trade group i.e. www.gardenhere.com. The trades are for postage or other plants from and for private individuals.

I hope this helps. drop me a message if you want some of the clover plant
