Well my period was due the 5th, but never came. I went the doctors, well this free pregnancy test place and got a blood taken but I wasn't pregnant. Today is the 21st, yet I'm not on my period no signs at all, and I know I'm not pregnant. What is wrong with me. Also, I was a virgin before June this year and since me and my fiance started having sex than my period has been coming later every month. I would come like 3 days late each month I used to come on the 25th, but than it was the 28, then the first, then the 4th, now it isn't coming at all. Please help.

Yes, you can definitely be stressing too much. Has something changed in your life recently? Lost of a loved one, money issues, job lost/stress at work, illness in the family? All of those kinds of things can lead to stress. So if your stressing or worrying more than normal that can push your period back, or it may not come at all that month. I suggest taking some 'you time' a few sicks days at work, to relax, eat right; vegetables, fruits. If you exercise cut back for a while. And see a doctor. You should be fine.

First of all, if you're really concerned you should go see your doctor. You may want to rule out medical factors that could cause your period to come late.

Second, it's normal for a woman to skip periods now and then. Usually doctors won't be concerned as long as you get one period every 3 months. Sometimes our bodies do things that don't make much sense!

Something to consider is stress. If you're under a lot of stress, that will often times prevent a period.

Also, are you living with other women right now? Women's cycles will adjust so they ovulate about the same time. I've even experienced that at work! Crazy but true.

Good luck!

You didn't say if you're a teen or adult. If you're still a teen your body is still settling into your cycles, maybe it's just your cycle is lengthening.

Also and I know it sounds odd, but the only time I've ever missed a period and not been pregnant my dr suggested it might have been because I'd gained a lot of weight, losing a lot can also screw your period up. Could either of these apply to you?

I was 3 months before I found out. Some women do not produce the mineral needed to show you are pregnant on a test. Just wait and you will see.

You may be exercising too much or not eating enough or not eating the right foods.

In basic training for the military a lot of women miss periods because their bodies are not use to the exercise.

Also, women with eating disorders sometimes will miss periods because they are malnourished.

WebMd has a few articles. Missed periods usually come as a result of stress and excess loss of weight. Believe it or not, females actually need a little bit of fat in them to guarantee a monthly period in the absence of pregnancy:

yeah, it's probably stress. sometimes mine doesn't come one month, but other times it just comes later than usual. that happens because i'm stressed out over school.
