The New York Mets for five reasons.
1. Money
2. his former pitching coach rick Peterson works for the mets and will help him get better
3. the NL stinks and he has a great chance to win it all
4. Mets need a pitcher who is a sure bet for 200+ innings b/c glavine and el duqe are old, Pedro is hurt and the rest of the staff are very young and are question marks
5.he fits in well with the team and join the special chemistry the team has and zito and wright will get any girl they want in New York City!

Personally I'd assume that Barry Zito will end up with the New York Mets for about six years and 15 million per.
This is because:
1) Zito wants to go to a big market team
2) New York Mets have the cash
3) New York Mets need one more piece to make them legitimate World Series favorites
4) The Yankees and the Sox have no interest in him
5) The Dodgers signed Jason Schmidt
6) Zito will not sign with the Texas Rangers no matter what given its ballpark's reputation as a hitters' nightmare.
Basically the only reason he hasn't signed yet is because Scott Boras wants to wait until Jeff Suppan has signed, thus exhausting all of the top starters on the market and making Zito the last available big time starter and driving his already sky-high price, just a bit higher.

Barry Zito will start the 2007 season in a Mets uniform.
According to Rotowire.com, Zito has met with Mets officials and has been contacted and woo-ed by veteran pitchers and fellow left-handers Billy Wagner and Tom Glavine.
Zito also has Scott Boras as an agent, the man who recently sold Diasuke Matsuzaka to the Red-Sox for $52 million. Boras also represented Bernie Williams when he was resigned by the Yankees in a seven-year, $87.5 million deal. Boras has a nack for getting players big-money. He is responsible for A-Rod's $252 million contract with Texas. The point is, Boras will only sell Zito to a high-market, high-paying team, and the New York Mets fit perfectly.
Shea Stadium is also a much greater pitcher's park than that of other teams interested in Zito, like the Texas Rangers.
Once again, I see Zito becoming the newest member to the Mets organization.

Rangers. They are offering more then the Mets and even though I like Zito we all know baseball players like the moo-la. I read at mlb.com that the mets are trying to persuade him with a better chance of winning and an old coach that we used to work with, but come on, show zito the money!

Hopefully in SF:D
Giants will match any offer mets will put up. And Rangers will most likely put up the most money. Zito has a house in SF.
IF he is like most players he will go to Rangers though , It$ all about the Money$$$$$

Most likely the mets over the rangers. His old pitching coach Rick Peterson is there. He's also said he wants to be on a winning team which the mets are. Also he has expressed interest in a big market city, which New York is a bigger market then Dallas who will always love the cowboys over the rangers. All that besides the fact last season he said he wanted to play for a NY team.

With the Mets, i heard that the two most interested teams are N.Y and Rangers, they both made similar offers, if he wants to win he will go to New York. I am a Dodger fan so i hope that N.Y does not get him, seeing as how they are in the N.L.
