I think it's great, you can call any where in the world and connect with people you never thought passable. My teenage daughter can talk to her friend in France and it docent cost me any more than the DSL monthly bill. You can talk to several people at once and have your space to leave, go to the bath room and come back they don't even know you were gone. My daughter can't imagine life without the Internet. As with every thing else, you are going to have strange people, they walk the planet and they are on the Internet.

It's a tool for good and bad, just like guns or tv. It depends on the kind of person you are and how you want to look at things. For me, it's an extremely positive thing. I can't imagine how I got information without it.

No it's not .We are some of the more luckiest people,Look at how hard it is to purchase one.These things are not cheep.Just imagine how you'll feel if you didn't have the means to purchase.What are you doing on your PC.
