On the east, north, south, or west *of what*? 'Cause it's on the east of the Pacific Ocean, but the west of North America.

OK, you really are kidding - this is just a test to see how stupid other people really are - Right !!!!
My dear lady, the Great State of California is located on the West Coast of the North American Continent - just above Mexico's
Baha Peninsula and just below Oregon - on the east side of California you will find Nevada and Arizona. On the west side you will find the largest Ocean in the world, the Pacific.
You better study Hard ! ! !
