Male- Don Williams and/or Doug Stone No one can sing a ballad like they can. (If you have never heard "Lay Down Beside Me" by Don Williams, listen to it. You won't be disappointed)
Female- Dolly Parton (she has the voice of an angel)
I'd have to say Reba McIntyre and Leann Rimes come in a close second though!
Can't wait to hear your favorite. Please let us know your favorite male and female artist. Thanks!

I have a few. I'm from Texas so we listen to quite a bit of country. Not a sterotype. I love Sugarland, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill (sometimes). I ADORE Martina McBride and Shania Twain. I like Carrie Underwood and Leann Rimes. JoDee Messina's good too. And then there's just that one song bu Kellie Coffee "When You Lie Next To Me" great song. And hello, the Rascal Flatts :)
I also like an oldie country woman. Well, I consider her country. The one and only Patsy Cline.

I am a huge fan of the old country music. Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, the list goes on. As for the new guys, I really like Montgomery Gentry, they have an amazing fusion of rock hillbilly and good old A$S kicking country, like how the good ole boys used to do it. Toby also rocks.

Kathleen Edwards and Sarah Hramer are my favourite singers. They aren't traditional country artists but much of their music is country influenced. I'd call it alternative country.

I can't name just one favorite singer-there are too many good ones! Among my favorites are Josh Turner,Alan Jackson & Tim McGraw. All three of these guys do songs that talk about real life-and they do a great job of it!
