In india politics is the biggest investment to all politicians. No formal education is required for entry to politics. But we have to develope corruptionless, crimeless, povertyless society to our young generation. Let us take oath not to select or elect the person for greedy after money and power.
A good leaders should be a good listener and an achiver. He can only win good followers.

Stupid question, I don't really care what is going on in India at the moment, but in our Government (U.S.) you would need to read and write to even become close to becoming a politician!!! (Read Speeches ect.)

No good having educated politicians when the general public is illitrate, Educate the public first and then let them decide on whom to vote for.

There are many leaders in the World who do not hold degrees from Universities, but still perform better that the educated ones.

Its only the Corrupt and those that have committed crimes, no matter what, small or large like LALLU, that need to be thrown out

Most of the leaders at the helm of affairs in the country are literates only. But we may not ensure they are honest, efficient and patriotic. Several people involved in all shady deals are educated also. They are more selfish having vested interests. SO it is not literacy level, but their commitment to the society and nation matters.

Hi , I do agree only 50% , u know why , it is on both the people and politician who have to be educated , and i feel people have to be more educated than politicians , as politicians dont care about their education which is sad to say .
