He has the potential but doesn't have the attitude to get him to the "best guys" league. Nowadays image plays a major role, and in some extreme cases, like Beckhams, more than even the talent.

Totally I agree with the first answerer.
Ribery is a brilliant player and definitely will fill the shoes of Zidane in the France team. I believe he is underrated just because he doesn't have that attitude. You know, when Becks or Zidane or Cannavaro enter a room you sit up and take notice. Ribery is not someone like that. He sorta quite and shy but I like that about him.
These days all you need to be famous is attitude and style.
It really is a matter of style over substance and sadly Ribery doesn't have the style or the attitude.
I'm sure he will sorta be like Platini but never as famous as Zizou

He is a g8 player and he had a big hand on France' march to the WC final. And he plays for the best club in the world Olympique De Marseille.

He's a great player, we're hoping that his success at the WC didn't go to his head.
One problem with him is that he has one speed, he should conserve his energy and spread it out instead of using it all in the first half, they always have to replace him because he's too tired. It should be like a horse race, pace is the key to reach the wire.
