Being a beaver lover myself. I know that triming a beavers wiskers is okay and makes it look very nice. However its nice to have a variety so perhaps you should ask her to bring over her friends and you could compare the two.

I wouldn't worry so much about the whiskers, those are optional but knock the teeth out and declaw it. That way it won't chew up any logs that it might encounter. Feed it high protein fluid. A groomed beaver is a happy beaver.

If your wife literally has a beaver, the animal, leave the whiskers alone. Animals have whiskers for a reason and they should not be cut. If you are referring to your wife's anatomy, grow up buy her a bikini wax for Christmas and stop torturing the people on Yahoo answers.

I think it would be very considerate of you to help trim your wife's beaver's whiskers. I think your wife would appreciate that.
And no, the beaver does not use it's whiskers to measure things. Our kitty cat does that for us.

You shouldn't have a beaver as a pet and cutting the whiskers makes them unbalanced and clumsy.

Well considering you are worried about your wife's beaver measuring the size of things, I believe there are natural enhancements out there to help our your problem.

Of course, if you cut them off the beaver will be off balance and will fall to the ground.

Beavers will most likely become very clumsy without them. Cutting them would be a very bad idea.
